Trip to California

I am really slow in getting things posted, but in January we went to California with our great friends Nic, Melissa, and Kayden. We had a great time. The original purpose of the trip was the America Most Beautiful Roadsters show. However, I had to make sure we got in a few more stops. We headed out and stayed in St. George the first night. The next day we went to the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. This was a really cool museum. They had tons of hot rods. They also had a whole floor for the kids to play with cars, dress up, and investigate how cars work. They also had a section for hot wheels cars. They had a car in every model ever made. Trayton thought this was great.

After the museum, we headed out to the Santa Monica Pier. This was one of my favorite beaches. We had a great time playing in the water. Both of the kids loved it and Harlee said her favorite part was when the waves tried to suck you out into the water. We also had a guy sculpt statues of the kids. This was a really neat souvenir from our trip.

The next day we went to Disney Land, which was a fantastic highlight of the trip. I could go on and on forever about how much fun we had, but I will spare you the details. We got rained on most of the day, which was disappointing, but also rewarding because we walked onto all of the rides. Trayton loved seeing Pooh Bear and tried to hug him to death. Harlee loved meeting with the princesses and getting to be Snow White the whole day. Trayton loved the pooh bear ride and Harlee loved Peter Pan. Trayton was so funny because he didn't sleep. Everytime he would drift off, he would realize we were on a ride and was wide awake again.

The next day we went to the America's Most Beautiful Roadster show. This was amazing. It was held at the Fairplex and filled 9 buildings plus outside parking. We saw many gorgeous cars. Amazingly the kids loved this. Harlee loved the pink convertible. She made me stop and wait for her daddy so we could show him that it was the car that she wanted.
We had such a great time and loved every minute of it. The kids were such troopers and enjoyed every minute of it.

California is great. We need to go there more often right? Thanks for a great birthday party. Hope Harlee had as much fun as we did. We love her so much
