Well it has been a little over two weeks since Rick's accident. He is slowly starting to feel a little better and is able to join us for a bit each day. The skin on his leg ended up dying, but they are going to give it a few months and see if it will heal itself. If not, he is will have to have skin grafts. He are hoping and praying that he will not have to do that. He was able to go back to work for a few hours last week, which I think he was grateful for. It gave him a change in scenery. Rick wanted me to put up a few pictures of his legs. The one side has the incision for one screw and the round spot of dead skin where his bone came through the skin. The other side is the incision line where they had to insert 6 screws and the plate and a small portion of dead skin where the bone came through that side. It is pretty nasty looking so we hope you don't get grossed out.Sunday, July 20, 2008

I hope that the skin will heal itself! Hope you are doing well all of you! Let me know if you need me! Those are some sweet pictures!
I'm glad to see Rick is "getting around" in the good kind of way. Scared me for a second. That is nasty.
Ouch! That is no fun. I am glad he is doing better. It is hard on you also, having to take care of two kids and him!!
Eeeks! That does not look fun. Poor Rick. Hope his skin heals itself. I guess this will really be a memorable 4th of July for you guys.
