My dear friend Katie passed away yesterday after fighting a valiant fight with cancer. Katie was an amazing woman, mother, wife, servant of God and friend. She fought her fight with such strength and faith. I have learned alot from Katie. Some of the things she has taught me is to pray (even if it is about how to get rid of mice under your house, pray about it), faith (faith in God, faith in God's plan, and the faith to GO ON), how to laugh and smile and look for the best in every situation (she provided comfort to all of us who were sad for her), submission to God's plan (as I drove Katie to radiation in the last month of her life she taught me to be submissive and to not pitty in what is happening but embrace it and prepare for it). She prepared her six children and husband the very best she could and was a rock right up until the very end. Now she is in our Saviors arms and free of pain. "I can only imagine" how it must be. Katie, you will be missed and we pray for your family and friends. You are an amazing woman.

I'm so sorry to hear about Katie. But, it's also nice to know that she will no longer have to suffer and that she is at peace. It's so wonderful to know that she had some great friends to help her along the way. It's amazing to hear that someone so sick and in pain could be more helpful and uplifting to us than we are to them. We learn more from them because of their strength and their outlook on life. I'll be praying for her family. I wish them the best.
